STIHL SuperCut™ Line Head is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have had the SuperCut line head 20-2 for three years now, l still love it. The automatic feed of the line is very good and saves line. The SuperCut 20-2 dose not have a bump button on the bottom of the head the line is put out automatically by centrifugal force. When weed trimming low to the ground (skimming) with a bump head, the line is sometimes released accidentally by inadvertently touching the ground with the bump button. This unwanted line loss adds up ($) when doing a lot of trimming. The SuperCut 20-2 eliminates almost all unwanted line loss thus lowering the cost of operation Note: there are two basic ways this head will have unwanted line loss 1. A sharp hit from the side. i.e. striking an object while skimming. 2. Lines tangled in an object. i.e. dead tree limbs or twigs hidden in the weeds.I live in the foothills of California, the area is rocky, the head is NOT treated kindly, it gets banned around a lot but keeps coming back for more. I have had the head for THEEE YEARS, NOTHING HAS BROKEN, though I have had to replace the bottom cover from normal wear.I found out about the features of this awesome, hard working, money saver from a contractor that uses them. You should advertise it better than you have been. I wish you could have the same tough auto line feed with an auto line load feature. P.S. Unlike the bump heads I have used and had to clean every time before I could get them apart and/or load the line, the SuperCut 20-2, not having a bump button on the bottom, stays clean inside and very easy to open and close.Thank you for the awesome quality,GD

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst trimmer I've ever had First time I used it, it came apart. Loading it with new string was problematic. Seldom worked. It would waste half of what you would load it with and most of the time, it would only have one useable string in the use of it. If Stihl made head trimmers like they did their chainsaws, they'd be out of business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well balanced flat trimmer head The autocut 25-2 is a good and dependable trimmer head, but this one is even better. The flat head cuts evenly and smoothly when placed on the ground. No bumping is needed. The line advances automatically. The only drawback is that it doesn't hold as much line as the 25-2. Overall, it's an excellent trimmer head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best trimmer head ever I bought this for small residential use on a combi 130/FS-KS unit. It auto feeds great and does not use much trimmer line. After alost a full season it ran out of line, and I had to refill the spool. When it ran out of line, I let a groan out, thinking of how difficult this had to be given my previous experience with trimmers. I couldn't have been more wrong. With the press of the two, count them 2, buttons on the side, the cover was off. Then I just pulled out the spool. The line wound easily, and clipped into place securely for loading. After slipping the spool in, I knew the most difficult part was coming, as it was time to thread the line through the case. Wrong again... the Iine slips into the eyelets securely, and you just snap the cover on.The machine is a large investment, and I tend to have buyers regret, however I keep finding ways to be happy about this purchase. Great product from a great company!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for routine trimming For routine lawn trimming this is an excellent option as it doesn't require bumping the head to advance the line but rather continually feeds as the head spins. Two concerns, when you are doing heavy duty trimming you have to pause and run the unit to extend the string and the second is that the spool is a bit small and a little fussy to load.Again for regular yard work it is great.
